This year's Nada Habba Dasara festival in Mysuru has just begun and is expected to attract numerous tourists from around the world. The festivities started with a traditional ceremony at Chamundeshwari Temple on Chamundi Hills, where writer Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah paid respects to the goddess. The nine-day celebration will end with a grand procession on Vijayadashami, starting from Mysore Palace on October 12. Nadoja Hampa Nagarajaiah, also known as Hampanna, inaugurated the festival and spoke about the cultural significance of Dasara in Karnataka, mentioning his childhood memories of playing with dolls during the festival. The annual private darbar at Mysore Palace, conducted by Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, will take place throughout Navratri. Exciting cultural events, such as performances by A R Rahman and Ilaiyaraaja, a food fair, flower exhibition, and book fair, are part of this year's Mysuru Dasara. Additionally, a film festival will honor the late actor-filmmaker Dwarakish.
